Hmm. Do you think that the lightsaber would be able to melt the one ring? I forget if mt. doom was special besides being a volcano, so I dunno :O

i'm pretty sure the saber couldn't hurt the one ring, since it's a lazer sword...mount doom is the "only place the ring can be destroyed", the ring is a relic created by a god-like being, so the escape clause is very specific....

unless maybe the focus crystal of the lightsaber blade was taken from mount doom...hmmm....

ps i picked the saber...it makes a cooler sound than the ring.

Actually, it's "the fires of mount doom are the only thing hot enough to destroy the one ring", and If lightsabers can't do it, some other beam weapon from SW can.
