Default MSN Live 8.0 Sucks.

Anyways, ever since the other day, my MSN decided not to sign in anymore. Right now I am using Trillian, but I would like to use MSN again.

So far I have:

-uninstalled, reinstalled
-scanned for spyware
-looked the error code up (8100030d) yet had no results
-checked and made sure it was not my router
-checked firewall

I think that is about it for what I have tried. Can anyone help me? It is really annoying me.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Here's your best option:
1. Format
2. Install Linux
3. Install Kopete/Gaim/amsn

But seriously, after a bit of Googling, it seems as though that error number tends to be associated with firewalls.

Check here and try configuring your firewall, and if that doesn't work, try disabling your firewall. (If you haven't tried either of those yet. )

There are a few things I like about MSN that Trillian doesn't have.

I did disable my firewall at one point and still had the same issue. It was working fine before hand to, just one day I went to change my status to away and it went wonkers ever since.

Thanks for the site though, I'll check it out. *reads*

EDIT: I GOT MSN TO WORK! Thanks you guys. Turns out, after I uninstalled IM Alert/Alarm w/e it was called (by the same company as Zone Alarm) that it decided to work!
