The first time I played it I changed the names of the entire party to the names of my friends. I would not be surprised if stuff like this happened often.

I never change the names, it just feels awkward to me.

The only Final Fantasy names I change are in VI (I use lowercase letters) and IX (I call Garnet by her real name.)

I rename Aeris to Aerith so I feel cooler, and I also wear sunglasses while I do it.

Other then that, I leave 'em all the same. Oh, I've renamed Red XIII to Nanaki before I think, but the last time I left it.
