Thread: [A] Black Rose

    Default [A] Black Rose

Not a rose, but a girl! Called Rose. Black Rose to be precise. She's in the midst of being designed and below is my first attempt of her fighting outfit. I'd appreciate tips - mainly on inking as I tend to really screw it up at this point! Hopefully it will be coloured soon and I might post that version too, in the mean time, see what you think! This copy is about the best I can get it, it wont really get any clearer.

Yes, I did screw up the feet - I'm working on them!

What kind of inking do you plan on doing?

Etching, or the other style, which is an application of inks in select places, or perhaps a combination?

Cheaper and less dangerous than buying or making a lightbox is taping your work to a window during daylight. This is my preferred method.

Thanks for the tips! And that webpage really helped me actually, but I don't think I have enough money to buy or make a light box, I'll probably go for the window method

    That looks good!
She looks petite, but maybe it suits her.

To shade by inking for me is cool for this piece.
