Pebbles?

Sorry if this question has been asked, I did look for it.

I got the thing that appears in the Bazaar after the hunt with the man whom owns the shop. It suposed to increase the chance/value of mosters dropping items. Well after getting it the only different was that alot of the mosters started to drop pebbles. Pebbles are worth only 2 gil in the shop, and I wondered if there was a greater purpose for them, or a place that buys them for more? This thing has turned out to be a waist of gil so far.

And what about Arcane stone thingies? Do they have some wort of purpose?

I remember buying something from the Bazzar for 999gil that turned out to be 99 Pebbles. Got ripped off on that deal.

Monsters also drop beter non pebble loot on average, so just think of pebbles as when you would have goten nothing without the item.

Arcana and High Arcana have some purpose, do not SELL them!!!

Monograph only increase chance for getting superior loot, you can still get a screwed item.

I thought they were just to unlock special bazaar items? I am at (SPOILER)Pharos and have yet to find a usage for them, except to sell them.

I also bought 99 pebbles from the bazaar. What the hell was the point of that?

Unfortunately I sold my arcana and probably my high arcana too. Is there any way to tell which loot you should sell and which loot you should not sell?

Get a strategy guide and read it. I don't have a strategy guide......

The Summoner of Leviathan, that's their use. But who knows if High Arcana is an ingredient for other non-important item. You need High Arcana to make Serpentarius and Empyreal Soul which is the ingredient for Tournesol (You need three Serpentarius, three Empyreal Soul and three Gemsteel to make it).

I think the point of pebbles was for you to keep it, because after you buy Morbid Urn, I THINK enemy will not drop pebbles anymore, Arcana will be the normal drop.

:) That same thing happened to me but try hunting in the Ozmone Plains, they do indeed drop pebbles but the Mesmenir's drop Aeries Gems and so do the Wu's. The Black/Red/Brown Chocobo's drop Some other kind of jem as well. Not only do they drop these rare items they drop more of what they normally drop.!!!
