A coward dies a thousand deaths. A soldier only dies ONCE
I don't obsess over it. Remember their industry is open to flaws like Hollywood movies are (just that Hollywood produces a lot more crap).
I like foreign films in general. Being Cantonese-Chinese I understand a lot of the movies. Subtitled Mandarin films are also good. I also watch Japanese movies if I read enough good reviews about it.
I love Stephen Chow movies. The likes as
-Shaolin Soccer
-Kung Fu Hustle
-(insert some movies that age up to twenty years old)
really kicks my laughing nerve. There wasn't a movie starring him that I never laughed my ass off. I'm currently waiting for Kung Fu Hustle 2.
Jackie Chan movies are off the awesome. The way his movies can be action packed and at the same time include loads of humor tickles my funny gut.
Hero wasn't my favourite. It was about loads of past story-telling so it's quite dull. Even the story itself was dull enough. The action scenes were meh.
House of Flying Daggers, gotta love that one. Ziyi isn't my favourite female star, but all the actors just make the movie sound so perfect.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or Silver Hawk. Seriously, if I don't watch movies starring my aunt(Michelle Yeoh), I'll be damned. I didn't quite like Silver Hawk(it was a bit dull, superhero woman, duh), but Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon rocks all.
I wanted to watch 2046, but the movie wasn't shown in my country.
I don't quite watch Japanese movies, but I'm going to watch Death Note. One thing though, I'm afraid of horror movies.
Gotta love that Bollywood stuff. *bhangras*
Battle Royale and Audition are the only movies I can remember seeing. But they both rock.
I've watched more Japanese films than I can keep track of... that's what happens when you major in Japanese lit =P Pretty good stuff. I'd have to say that Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Ugetsu, Sansho the Bailiff, Tampopo, and After Life are probably my favorites.
