Thread: Barrier and Aura

    Default Barrier and Aura

Does anyone know what Barrier and Aura do in the PS and GBA Version of FF2?

I know that Barrier protects you from certain elements depending on its level and Aura enhances your weapon with an element depending on it's level in the NES Version.

For all your new-school FF2 needs:

It says Barrier helps with Special Attacks. I don't know what that means. Maybe stuff like poison? I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't level it anyway.

Apparently Aura is the same. As you level it, casting it on a character will give his attacks some kind os stat, like fire, ice, bolt or some such, so that if you're against an enemy that's weak against fire, and you aura your fighter, and aura is at the level where the fire enchantment will take effect, your fighters attack will also be that monster's weak point.

This is terribly wordy, and the explanation is better in the eoff walkthrough for FF2, since the spell seems to function the same.

Then why don't you link to the eoff page instead of some site with almost no info on it xD

Are you sure it still works the same way in the PS and GBA Version?

Why would they change it? It's not like it worked particularly well to begin with.

In the PS and GBA Versions it doesn't say "_____ Protection" like it did in the NES Version whenever Barrier is casted.
