I know that it exists and I could probably get by on a very limited basis, yes. But once you branch out into the more technical factors, I would probably have a more difficult time.

Computer engineers can program quite well too and actually make the machines computer scientists need.

I know I've said this before, but a computer scientist is going to be a better programmer just because he spends all of his time devoted to it. There's plenty of crossover with engineering but engineers I've met have not been programmers, any more than I am an engineer. The guy who designs hammers isn't necessarily the guy you'd hire to build your house for you, and vice versa.
