Well, since the special jobs classes (excluding Guts) are boring, because they're too powerful, I generally go with standard job classes and even monsters. My favorite strategy is Ramza as a Squire/Monk, 2 Dancers/Chemist, Priest/Calculator, and a Mime. Since I've pretty much got Miming down to an art, it makes to quite an amusing show watching him (usually Rad) pretty much decimate everyone on the battle field in only a few turns, as my whole strategy is designed to empower the Mime and use him at his fullest extent, it's no surprise that he is often 10+ levels higher than everyone else and usually first to 99 by about 20 lvls.

I'd say my favorite team is Ramza, Orlandu, Beowulf, Agrias, and Meliadoul. All in their default professions, with Math Skills as secondary. Excaliburs for the guys, Chaos Blades and Setiemsons for the ladies.

My favorite generic team is Ramza, Rad, Lavian, and two Tiamats. Knights with Math Skills for Rad and Lavian.

5 White Mages is the ultimate team. It doesn't matter who they are. Anybody becomes instasex in a White Mage job.

Well Ramza, Orlandu, Agrias, Cloud, and Beowulf. Ramza uses Two Swords or Math Skills. Orlandu and Agrias use Lightning Stab. Cloud has Short Charge and uses his Limit skills. And Beowulf either Attacks or uses stone or drain with his sword skills.

My 'A' Team looks something like:

Though I put so much effort into seting up all my characters so they round out well as a team that I can't bear to not rotate them all through.

For me, it's usually:

1. Ramza - Squire w/ calculator or summoner

2. Mustadio - Engineer w/ chemist

3. Samurai w/ Monk

4. Bard w/ Priest or Dancer w/ Mediator

5. Any monster I have (usually Boco, the chocobo gotten in a fight when you still have Gafgarion with you)

As for equipment... I try to vary, else I use what I currently have on.

( Basicly the same as Ramza, her Chaos blade makes up for her low attack and the boots really help boost her mobility. )

Basicly, he's a god of board walk, my backup incase all hell breaks loose, he can eather pick at enemies or sneak into enemy lines or past them to help a fallen brotha' because of the cloaking the secret cloths give him. Also, the undead... fear him.

Summon Magic.
Math skill. ( Being a summoner, she can now utalize all the magics. :3)
Damage Split. ( This plus the robe keeps her rolling. )
Magic attack up. ( As if the magic attack wasn't high enough already. )
Teleport.

The best member of the team that I barly use to her full potential because she'll just make the battle uninteresting, but is also usefull to just wipe out the board in under four turns with CT3 Holy.

These are the people I have in my group, it's a very powerful group, yet very balanced all the while.
