I finally defeated him for the first time.
And then, I had to fight him again.
He defeated me, and I had not
saved, so I had to start over.

Then I tried again, and defeated him
two times, and then he appeared again!
How many times do I have to defeat him?

in my crouch. This is fun.

Beat him five times in a row. I can't remember the exact locations, but just follow the path and check every nook and cranny and you should find all 5 of the battles. If the 4th battle you see takes place at the entrance, and after it the summoner runs away and Tidus slumps, you've missed one battle. But imo, unless you want to take Penance on, leave him (DY) alive, as he's a good source of Dark Matters and Ribbon equipment.

Nah, I want to beat Dark Yojimbo. I don't need more Dark Matters and Ribbon abilities.
I also noticed that I couldn't save and reload again - then I'll have to start over again.

u can save between battles but if u load it will start from the beginning. use this to get all the equipment u want

Guys, I defeated them all right now!
The video afterwards was really cool.
I tried a fight against Penance. LOL!
I'll have to train to have a chance!

I'm gonna capture the rest of the fiends.
When I've done that, I'll train at the
Monster Arena and then defeat
Penance and Nemesis!

My gosh, this game is still entertaining
after all these years! Go Final Fantasy!

i tried to get the best armour i could from all the DA's, it took quite a while after defeating valefor, ifrit, ixion, and shiva. i just kept fighting yojimbo to get all the equipment i needed. yojimbo is gud too cos u can sell any equipment u dont need
