There's no better Christmas music than that of The Vince Guaraldi Trio. They did the Charlie Brown Christmas music. w00t.

    Last Christmas
    I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
    But this year
    To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

    Once bitten and twice shy
    I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
    Tell me baby
    Do you recognize me?
    Well
    It's been a year
    It doesn't surprise me
    Happy Christmas,
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you"
    and meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again

    Last Christmas
    I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
    This year
    To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

    A crowded room
    Friends with tired eyes
    I'm hiding from you
    And your soul of ice
My God I thought you were
    Someone to rely on
    Me?
I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man under cover but you tore me apart
    You tore me apart, ooo-ooo
Now I've found a real love
    You'll never fool me again

    Last Christmas
    I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
    This year
    To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

See if you can find the Barenaked Ladies version of "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen." I believe they perform the song with Sarah McLaughlin (sp?). It's awesome.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

Oh Yeah, thats an amazing album, just so awesomely Christmassy!
I recently bought the Sufjan Stevens 5 disc boxset of Christmas music, and for those of you that like him, you should definitely check it out. There is a slammin' version of O Holy Night on it.

Also Bright Eyes has A Christmas album, that is simply stunning.
Low has a mini-album for Christmas as well that is ace.

    Hope that helped.
    Sig please.

If you don't mind being controversial...

Try Neil Diamond's "Happy Christmas (The War is Over)"

If you can get the children's choir to sing the chorus, it will be perfect.

I hear Twisted Sister has just released a Christmas album...

Someone already mentioned Barenaked Ladies cover of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen-it's one of the best updates of a really old song ever.

Also, if you're not familiar with them, Trans Siberian Orchestra rocks hardcore and outloud. I'm particularly fond of Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24), but the entire album is rock remixed Christmas classics. I swear, it makes the Nutcracker Suite worth listening to. If you can ever get a chance to see it, the music video to Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) is one of the coolest video presentations ever.
