Help me decide on new anime/manga

No, that is not a "What does not belong" puzzle. XD

Anyway I'm having a hard time deciding between those three of what to start reading/watching. From what I've heard Chobits is apperently like Love Hina for girls and DiGi Charat may be a bit too cute. I haven't heard a lot about Shakugan no SHANA, but it has a red head with a sword. So I'm kinda leaning towards SHANA, even though I like Love Hina I don't know what my friend meant by it was aimed toward girls.

Out of those, and having seen all 3, I'd easily reccomend Chobits. Di Gi Charat is too pointless, Shana is pretty good but ultimately nowhere near as fulfilling as Chobits.

Though I could reccomend some other anime before Chobits as well.

Thanks everyone, I'll probably pick up Chobits next I go to the book store.
