    Default Notebook overheating

I have a Compaq R3000 laptop which I just put a new HD into last night. This thing had been plauged by heating problems. So I picked a notbook chill hub. It still over heats as soon as I try to play Guild Wars for any amount of time. ANy ideas?

Send it in for repair if it's still under warranty. Overheating most likely means that the thermal paste on the cpu/heatsink is thinning out or was poorly applied to begin with. If you're outside your warranty period, you could try cracking open the case and reapplying the thermal paste yourself.

Or do you mean that once you put the HDD in you started noticing temp increases?
