Christmas reminds me that people are rubbish.
I will have this proof when working in a supermarket this Christmas.

"I think you'd make any (nice) woman happy... & I think you really deserve for someone to make you happy too for a change"
Christmas will be a signpost of sorts, that my life is going to drastically change. I both look forward to it, and I dread it, and I am trying very hard to allow the cheer of Christmas to overcome me, because I will be otherwise very solemn about the events which will have to come directly afterward.
Christmas means I get like not even two weeks off of school and go home, I can't wait. It also means I am done exams. This year, due to a variety of personal reasons, I can't wait to come home.
In general, I always loved Christmas. I love looking at Christmas trees, spending time with family, etc...For me it is not about the presents. I mean I like receiving and giving, but it is more about everything else. The time spent with family, friends and the like.
I would enjoy Christmas if it weren't for the following:
The music, most notably Jinglebell Rock
The decorations
The stories
The over-sweetened foods
The fake smiles and joy
The forced time spent with people that you honestly don't care about
The overbearing influx of religious short-mindedness
The eggnogg and food are good, however...
...
I really don't look forward to Christmas much. I don't like the music, or the decorations, or the whole family thing. Yeah, I'm like the family Grinch or something. I do like getting stuff from people, though. I can't imagine why people give me anything when I hate the day so much. I wouldn't give anything to me, I'm a piece of grumpy crap on Christmas day
Halloween is a different story. I'm all about Halloween :oscar:
I used to love it as a kid, but its becoming so damned commericialised and politically correct that its just plain stupid. We cant even say "merry christmas" for fear of offending someone because it has the word "christ" in it. So no, i really dont much care for christmas. The only thing i like about it is the decorations because things dont look so drab.
Kk, we all know everyone here stay up late to wait for Santa to appear even if you won't admit it.![]()
Of course I look forward to Christmas. There's just so much spirit in the airI wish I'd be able to visit my family, though. It would be better that way. But now, I just have to spend it with friends. I miss my family, though. Like my aunts, cousins, uncles ...
♪ wheee!
:hello: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HELLO KITTY SMILEY :hello:
All I know is I get to eat lots of really, really good food and drink lots of JD and so on, plus theres the presents, I cannot deny that I like presents on Christmas morning. But its like, only one day. Spinny, the corporations are making so much money out of Christmas. So thats the down side of it, coz the pretty much use christmas as thier way to make money, not being all 'good will to all men and women' stylie.
I don't even look forward gifts, I really don't like to recieve giftsChritsmas is just an ordenary day like the other!
I love the whole aura of Christmas and stuff, the decorations and the imaginings of snow! <3 So lovely. But yeah, that's about it. Presents are cool too, so's Santa and carols.
The food is awesome. Always gets me caught up. But the best bit would be = no school.
My family is on the other side of the country and I have to work over the holiday. I have a little brother and I would rather my grandmother buy him things that he needs/wants than spend money on me; I have enough in my life to be happy about as is. And I don't really eat all that much.
If I could spend time with the people I want to spend time with I would be a whole helluva lot more gungho about the holidays.
