Classical music is NOT responsible for John Williams. The man writes decent music, except that it is ALL movie type music and based on fundamentally the same major chords! If you take all of John Williams' music and listen to it back to back, y'know the one sound track that sounds different? Indiana Jones!

For the love of all things, do NOT write off Classical Music as a crappy idea because of John Williams! Write it off if it's not your thing after you listen to the good stuff, but not for John Williams! That'd just be letting that over puffed turkey win.

Oh I'm a big fan of Classical Music. I even like Opera! I just hate the Classical wannabes like the "over puffed turkey" John Williams. They do a disservice to music as a whole! I exaggerated a bit, poor Hitoshi Sakimoto is much better than Williams. Paramina Rift ain't half bad. Still, 40+ hours of bland stuff is not to my taste. But I hate Vanila ice cream for the same reason: way over used and way too bland. I need some spice!

Try FFXII to the sound of Albinoni's Adagio (in a very different, "spicy" rendition). It rocks

Ok, just so long as we're clear then.

Like I said, on its own, I don't think the music is special, but in context of the game, it's perfect. Taken out of that context, it simply doesn't have the impact.
