One of the most time-honored traditions of the Ciddies is the simple question of “who is the best?” The “best” is never really defined for us, we just send in our nominations and votes like good little sheep so that Award Guy’s bully boys won’t come after us (and anyone else who’s received a threatening PM knows that the savagery in which they will relentlessly pursue you to nominate and vote for people knows no bounds).
Here we shall be presenting an award for the “best female”, whatever that may mean. We’ve an impressive list of impressive members, certainly, so obviously there’s some reasoning that went into nomination.
The ladies here all add something to EoFF, something that we would sorely miss without their presence. They all have their own unique presence and personality, and each one could be a potential winner here, albeit for completely different reasons.
Christmas: Christmas is fairly new to EoFF but she has gained a great deal of popularity due to her beautiful MS Paint artwork, her love of PuPu, and the constant invocation of Old Manus in some way, shape or form.
While a far cry from the most serious member out there, Christmas constantly brings a splash of color (often quite literally) to the EoFF pages with her vibrant artwork and personality.
fire_of_avalon: foa is a classy gal and a great CK who books no nonsense and does so with style. Her fiery personality matches her moniker, and her sense of fairness and dedication to keeping EoFF a great place are unquestionable.
foa is equal parts saucy, insightful, sardonic, and spicey, which is in itself a recipe for awesome.
kikimm: Although not as active as some of the other nominees, kikimm still manages to make a meaningful impact on the community. This lady-knight is good at what she does, and it shows.
A kind and helpful person, kikimm might not have the most to say, but what she says always has merit to the topic at hand. Be it serious or silly, kikimm’s posts radiate a special gold that only she can produce.
You’ll find said gold on eBay shortly, I’m sure.
Leeza: Where Leeza goes, green text and cats inevitably follow. Our resident female cat-loving admin has a strong dedication to making this forum a better place. Although some balk at her alleged “strictness”, most can agree that Leeza’s decisions are sound, fair, and reasonable.
Leeza’s become something of a fixture here at EoFF, many of us weren’t here before she was and can’t really fathom an EoFF without her. Whether it’s through her moderation or her apparent resolution to bring more cat smileys to our posts, Leeza always does a superior job, something nobody can dispute.
Resha: Resha possesses a strong, distinctive personality that seeps through in even the most simple of posts. An eloquent and opinionated lady, Resha has the notable and commendable tendency to post in complete sentences, something many members should take note of and strive to emulate.
Resha has a strong voice in each of her posts, and the kind of person she is is apparent for all to see. EoFF could not ask for a better poster.
Rye: Rye has accomplished the unthinkable. She’s managed to somehow date Raistlin and not end up on the staff’s blacklist.
Or has she?
Well, that noteworthy accomplishment aside, Rye’s presence on EoFF has been felt for quite some time. With more wit and charm that you can shake an old man’s stick at (not that he hasn’t tried); Rye makes her presence known through sheer force of character. With great graphic work and a distinct presence and personality, Rye just belongs at EoFF and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
ShlupQuack: Perhaps she is a man! But if that were the case, I wouldn’t have to be typing this up and thus I’d be saving time to do other things, like sleep. However, for the sake of convenience we’ll be assuming for the purpose of this exercise that she is, indeed, mostly female.
A recently returned admin, Shlup makes a name for herself with a personality that can best be described as slap in the face followed by a punch to the gut, several knees to areas best left unmentioned, and a succession of sucker punches that leave one sprawling. Best of all, this is all served with a smile! And evil, eeevil smile.
For awhile, EoFF was free from her dark clutches. But now, with the power firmly back in her grasp, Shlup can once again embark on a campaign of evil, destruction, and pink. A known detractor of anything that involves either Raistlin, The Man, or (God forbid) both, Shlup can be known to attack with posts so sharp they can pierce even the hardest, most cynical or unreasonable human heart from miles away, through the slowest dial-up connection and all within a few seconds.
And that’s why we love her.
Xander: Former CK, lover of pandas, and founder of the Kingdom Hearts Trinity, Xander is well-known and widely accepted as the one of EoFF’s bastions of cuteness. She literally oozes the stuff, but in her case, this is a good thing (As opposed to the alleged “cuteness” of other members, see Shlupquack’s disgusting pink stuff).
After resigning her position, Xander’s presence was sadly scarce on the forum, but her renewed posting has been a wonderfully revitalizing occasion for all of us who, deep down in our hearts, missed talking about pandas as if they actually mattered.
Which they do! I swear!
