hey great job so far! i've been watching your videos on youtube and i have a question regarding quistis' limit. why is it you choose to use laser eye sometimes after using micro missiles even though it does much less damage?

Micro Missile only does percent damage, it will never kill the enemy. So he switches to something that will.

You're probably thinking about Homing Laser. Homing Laser kills, but Micro Missiles don't.

Just like this.. say..
*Enemy HP: 1000

*Quistis uses Micro-Missiles
*Micro-Missiles does 750 damage (~75%)
*Enemy HP: 250

*Quistis uses Micro-Missiles
*Micro-Missiles does 125 damage (~50%)
*Enemy HP: 125

*Quistis uses Micro-Missiles
*Micro-Missiles does 94 damage (~75%)
*Enemy HP: 31

And so on..


Instead..
*Enemy HP: 1000

*Quistis uses Micro-Missiles
*Micro-Missiles does 750 damage (~75%)
*Enemy HP: 250

*Quistis uses Laser-eyes
*Micro-Missiles does 300 damage
*Enemy is dead

So both Homing Laser and Micro Missiles deal damage based on current HP. Sounds redundant imo :p.

No, Homing Laser can kill. I'm pretty sure Homing Laser does damage based on max HP.

Laser Eye is just a basic attack that's stronger than her physical attack to make Limit Breaking worthwhile until more skills are learned. Nothing more.

I see your point.

However... is Laser Eye really used in any of the later videos? I mean... you have Laser Eye from the very begining, but you get Homing Laser later on. So the reason he uses Laser Eye instead of Homing Laser in some of the videos may simply be because he didn't have Homing Laser at that point.

No, I think.. Laser Eye was good at killing weakened enemies early in the game..
