Can you give some examples for your 1 and to because I don't see that often, especially 2.

with 1 in XII, X, and VIII you get thrown in jail, but that's it I don't recall that in VII, or IV.
It's been a while since I played VII so I might be off, but (SPOILER)I think in Shinra HQ Cloud and co. get caught and put into cells. They're able to break out when all the guards are killed...or something like that o_O
