How much do you trust people on Forums?

Obviously I trued him and his family enough to go 1200 miles away from home and stay there. There's probably several others I would trust.

I've had runins with people who have served jailtime for molesting kids, people who have faked their own deaths, and all sorts, but I am trusting in general. I won't go out of my way to make it easy for a random stalker to terrorize my neighborhood, but I'm not afraid to post pictures of myself online or give my address to strangers. I let a random guy from devart call me one night because he was bored. People on the internet are usually just people. The scary rapists usually have specific targets for people that are known to be susceptible. Lol msn chat anyone?

Besides, when you live out in the middle of no where, people start thinking how much it would cost in gas just to rape an 18 year old girl. Would that be worth it?

According to the dateline show, TO CATCH A PREDATOR (the one that took place in Hsu's town I think), plenty of people think it's worth it to drive hundreds of miles to get it on with a 15 year old. :o

At the end of the day, I'm also of the camp that I will trust someone until there is reason not to. Even if someone lies to me, but apologies, I can forgive them, because we all make mistakes. However, if a pattern develops or no apology is made, then that trust is hard to gain back.

I pretty much start off with giving people a reaosnable amount of trust. It builds as time goes on, but if something happens that trust can going away in a heartbeat.
