    Random Shutdowns

My computer has recently taken up the habit of shutting down at random intervals

I don't know exactly what I did to start it doing this, I didn't download anything fishy or anything like that. Basically, I'll use the computer for about half an hour and it will just shut down completely.

It's not an Energy Saver thing, I turned those off (for some reason it was set to shut down after 15 mins.), but it's still doing it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Most likely, the shutdown is related to either:
    - components in the computer overheating
    - an unstable power supply

Does it shut down when you are running any programs that use a lot of computing power? Or is it completely random?

These two are likely it. The only other probable answer would be if you get a message about shutting down(which relates to a windows vulnerability and an old virus/worm that shut down windows alot)....But it typically happened within 5minutes of bootup.

As above posters asked, is it happening during certain programs or ?
