If I wasn't required to have Zidane in my party, I would use Amarant, Steiner, Vivi, and Dagger. Amarant and Steiner could beat any enemy into submission AND make them weak against Shadow, Steiner and Vivi would use sword magic, and Dagger would heal and cast eidolons. They would be (IMHO) the most balanced party.
