    They released music in 2006?

I'm never up on current music and more or less prefer it that way. Every once in a while, a new artist will catch my ear, but I'm completely happy to listen to what I consider the 'classics' and the latest work from those artists, at least until they completely jump the shark and I have to resort to only listening to their older stuff. I might give the latest Jay-Z a listen when I get the chance. That said, I did enjoy the latest offerings from Bruce, David Gilmour, Tony Bennett, Norah Jones, DMB and Pearl Jam, but I haven't really come across any newer artists this year other than Belle And Sebastian and DCFC, who are once again, not exactly new anyway.

    Take care all.

'Stadium Arcadium' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
    'Light Grenades' by Incubus.

    Both awesome.

Haven't bought any other albums from 2006. Apart from those two, there's been nothing else that's really interested me in new music. I mainly buy older albums.

    Evanescence - The Open Door
HORSE the Band - The Mechanical Hand
NOFX - Wolves in Wolves' Clothing
    Placebo - Meds
菅野よう子 (Yoko Kanno) - Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Solid State Society O.S.T (Not on Last.FM yet)

Got a fair few other albums, but these have been the five I've listened to the most this year.
Seriously the best band in the world.

    Well how about:

    Land of Confusion - Disturbed
The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars
    Love Like Winter - AFI
The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin
Lips Like Morphine - Kill Hannah

    Good Stuff!!
If I were a Final Fantasy Boss, I would be named something cool like Super-Ultra-Foxtrot-Omega Weapon or something cool like that...

    Joanna Newsom - Ys.

I was going to list a few others, but Ys is so awesome that I don't want to bring it down with merely "good" albums.

Not that much, actually. Whereas 2005 was chock-full of great albums, I can't think of a single brilliant record that came out in 2006. Guillemots' Through The Windowpane is perhaps the closest this year got to something spectacular, but even that seems to be a bit of an overstatement.

So yeah, try a little harder in 2007, please.

I'm not up into modern music, as I regard most of it as crap. Weird Al's new songs are the only thing that really caught my interest. Otherwise, it was mainly a bunch of songs that were either totally pathetic or rap/hip-hop (which I hate).
