Simply put, the Square button is of amazingly useful... use.
In KHI, Ultima Shadow has a way that you can not only beat Sephiroth, but to PWN him, also. Reading required. In KHII, just equip Once More, Second Chance, and Retaliating Slash, and you should be fine. Simply hit X (and Square if necessary).

a good way is to put on shadow anklets on and if u use trinity limit
also have tons of mp haste mp hasta and mp hastega on
