Why Don't I Remember Reno?

Reno was in Advent Children, yes.
But for some reason, I don't remember him being in FFVII
Please refresh my memory and tell me where Reno comes in
In the game.

im completely shocked at this, he is like the best character in the whole game (IMO) and he is juct so funny you first meet him in the Church then again in the downfall of Secter 7 then again (possibly) in Gongaga (if thats what its called lol) and so on and so forth...
