Could someone please explain "RP6s" to me?
What makes and RPG an RP6? I have played games like Zelda and they are just like RPGs except fights are done diferently. Is that what makes the difference?
And what does the "6" mean anyway?

I've never heard of an RP6 before...
And neither has wikipedia.![]()
Well the only time I've heard/seen it was on chanel called "Game Network" which I think is off air now. (Shame it was a cool channel it was ALL about games!) and they refered to games like Zelda as RP6s and never explained why...
Probably because they were dumb.![]()
In 1337sp34k, g == 6. The unfortunate souls must've assumed that "6" was the more acceptable of the names. Or, it could also mean "six points of roleplay," but since I don't roleplay, I have no idea what it means, even if it exists.
I think it's a mix of RPG and adventure.![]()
There is that chanse. I like that answer.In 1337sp34k, g == 6. The unfortunate souls must've assumed that "6" was the more acceptable of the names.
again that could also work.think it's a mix of RPG and adventure
Zelda is not an RPG, it is an adventure.
I still love it, but it's not an RPG.
Doesn't it have RPG elements like leveling, though?
I think RP6 has something to do with satan. Link's not the Antichrist, is he?
Yeah it's almost an RPG which why people get it confused.
I like Zelda and think it could be RPG if things were altered, but I realize it is not one.
RPG = Role Playing Game
In Zelda, you play the role of Link. Thus, some could argue that Zelda is, in fact, a type of role playing game.![]()
