Default Something funny about Viera...and other races.

Have you noticed that all Viera's are female! Not a single male to be seen.i mean how the heck do they riproduce? lol
And also Garifs are all male!Bangaa's seem male as well.and as for moogle's i can't distinguish male from female!
Does anyone have a theory about this?

    Asexual reproduction.

Viera are birthed from the Wood.

Parthenogenesis? Also, I believe Square said at one time or another that there ARE male Viera, they just stay hidden or something.

And also Garifs are all male!
How do you know? Their masks cover their faces, and their clothes are almost the same color as their skin. Clothing is a big distinguisher between male and female. Maybe you wouldn't notice a slightly different outfit from the others that could possibly indicate femininity. Also, ALL Garif are extremely muscular, which gives them a masculine appearance, which could make spotting a female more dificult.

    Bangaa's seem male as well.
Actually, Rinok (the white Bangaa in Ba'Gamnan's crew) is female.

and as for moogle's i can't distinguish male from female!
Yeah, the moogles are definitely harder to tell...This is all I know that is confirmed.

    Male: Montblanc, Nono, Sorbet

    Female: Gurdy, Pilika

I'm not sure about the others, though Horne (the red Moogling moogle) looks masculine IMO, and Hurdy (the blue Moogling moogle) looks feminine.

Keep in mind female Seeqs and male Seeqs look exactly the same (remember the thief in Lowtown?), so it's likely that other races are much the same.

Yeah, the only difference is that female Seeq have weird, mop-like hair.

Some of the Viera Wood Warders like a teeny bit male to me. At least "maler" than Vaan

That was the cat race in XI they were talking about.

Yes, that's right. The mithra race of FFXI are mostly female, and you can't select male when creating a character. In fact, I have yet to see a male mithra NPC too, I don't think they exist.

I think it's made hard to tell male from female for the other races because that's how it is in real life anyway. If you look at a cat, you won't be able to tell if it's male or female without checking its rear end :p.
