I can't vouch for the Japanese pages but on the English Wiki we have a very good team working on the Final Fantasy pages. We have received several awards already. :D

Even if some goof changes the pages, it gets fixed within 2-3 hours because every day someone from our team watches the FF pages like a hawk to keep them accurate.
Yeah, Wikipedia is usually a perfectly valid source of information. Never underestimate the minute perfectionism of obsessive-compulsive geeks.
I don't, but I also don't doubt the same insane devotion of fanboys and the like, and have seen horrible wiki-wars of the like. If it's not a big issue, I will usually trust Wiki, which I will now, but nothing beats the prime source, which was what I was implying as more authoritative. I can be anal about getting prime source documents sometimes.
