I don't see how one being pleasure-based should warrant outlawing.
There are many that have jobs they take pleasure from doing.
I still fail to see how the amount of people profiting from it has anything to do with the legality of it. Sounds like massive capitalist lobbying to me.
They can keep a low profile even if they were organized.
I live in Norway, and it's perfectly legal to sell your body here. However, organized prostitution (read: brothels) is illegal. I think prostitutes would benefit from working legally and organized. They would be safer if they were in a building where people could help them in case some of the customers started doing stuff he or she shouldn't.
