Porn stars and prostitution

Porn is far more acting-based, whereas prostitution is entirely pleasure-based. They both have to look the part, they both have to have appeal, and they're both selling their bodies, although prostitutes sell their bodies directly while porn stars sell images and videos of their bodies more than anything else. I think that as vocations they're quite different.

I don't see how one being pleasure-based should warrant outlawing.
There are many that have jobs they take pleasure from doing.

because everyone in a porn movie is getting paid while only the prostitue/prostitutes are getting paid in prostitution, and the person hiring the prostitue is doing the paying. SO if one of the porn stars were to have sex with the person giving them the money for the porn movie in order to get more money that should be illegal.

See it's not the same thing, one is getting paid to recorded having sex while the other is getting paid for the sex itself.

I still fail to see how the amount of people profiting from it has anything to do with the legality of it. Sounds like massive capitalist lobbying to me.

Nah, hookers might want to keep low profile, while a porn star could be famous in the adult world.

They can keep a low profile even if they were organized.


I live in Norway, and it's perfectly legal to sell your body here. However, organized prostitution (read: brothels) is illegal. I think prostitutes would benefit from working legally and organized. They would be safer if they were in a building where people could help them in case some of the customers started doing stuff he or she shouldn't.
