    Default recipe

Any good recipe that you find yourself using continually?

    1/2 a cup flour
    1/2 teaspon salt
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter cut int osmall pieces
    3 egg yolks
    1/3 cup of milk
    2 egg whites
1 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder

    Empanada de queso
    1. Combine the flour with the salt, sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
    2. Add the butter and cut into the flour with a pastry blender or 2 knives.
    3. Beat the egg yolks lightly and combine with the milk.
    4. Stir into the flour to form a soft dough.
    5. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for 1 hour.
    6. Beat the egg whites and fold in the grated cheese and chili powder.
    7. Roll out the dough as thinly as possible on a floured board.
    8. Cut the dough into 48 circles with a glass.
    9. Place 1/3 tablespoon of the cheese mixture on half of the circles and cover with the remaining circles.
    10. Moisten the edges with a little water and press together.
    11. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 375f degree oven for 15 minutes
    Tastes delicious

Add 2 part cheese to 6 part cooked bacon and 2 part bread. Then grill for a while, and eat.

The repeat again and again until you orgasm due to delicious foodiness.

Eww.. milk AND water? o.0 I usually just use milk OR water, but both together is like spoiled milk without the sour taste :whaaa: .

    Hmmm.... Rice balls;
1 part sushi rice (short grained)
    2-3 parts water
Cook the rice in the water, if it isn't soft enough by the time the water is gone, add a little bit more water.
Cool rice. Wet your hands and put salt on them to keep the rice from sticking. Roll the rice into a bunch of little balls, a little bigger than the size of you palm.
Mix a pinch or two of Bonito Flakes (dried tuna flakes, kind of expensive but very good. You can exchange this for umeboshi, pickled plum, but it's kind of icky and salty-sour) and a little bit of soy sauce together to form a paste.
Poke a hole in the center of each rice ball with the fat end of a chopstick. Poke a small ball of the bonito paste (or a small chunk of umeboshi) into the hole you made. Then gently try to shape the bal into a triangle-ish shape.
Now take a small piece of nori (dried seaweed used in sushi and other recipes, not hard to find) and wrap it over the filled hole and around the bottom to the back of the ball.
If you are travelling with the riceballs, wait till you serve them to put the nori on, because it gets soggy easily.

    <3 Enjoy

    In homage of Rye's recipe:

    1 pack of Noodles
    2 cups of Water

Boil water. Throw dry noodles. Wait 3 minutes. Take off heat. Add pack of seasoning. Watch kids scarf it down

I tried the riceballs its really good I wanna experiment with that recipe maybe a little strawberry rice (rice boiled in water mixed with strawberry juice and chunks) with frozen banana pudding inside. Let it sit so the banana starts to slightly melt. make sure you only use enough strawberry juice to get the taste their and not concentrate it will be tp strong. I'll try it
