James Arnold Taylor said he did 2 voices for Tidus, one the narration voice, is more mature, which corresponds to Tidus after learning of Yuna's impending death (and after the campfire scene that "put some hairsinon his chest") and one less mature, the typical "surfer dude" he was when plucked out of Zanarkand by Sin/Jecht.
