throwing things at the ceiling fan
Factoring that it's on the highest speed setting, what do you think would realistically cause the most chaos to the surrounding enviornment if it were thrown upwards in the direction of the fan.
I say a tennis ball or two.

A barrage of sharpened pencils. I don't want to have to live through that again.

If the surrounding environment is people, then a bird would probably do the trick. People generally don't like blood and intestines all over themselves. The feathers give an additional effect too, I guess.

Eggs. Cold, hard, shelled eggs.
Maybe a pumpkin or two as well.

I once threw mashed patatoes into the ceiling fan. It was awesome!

this makes me think of a skit i thought up for mad tv back whenI was like ten. Some guy is sitting in his room complaining about how he'll never get accepted to college, and his friend comes running in with a letter and he opens it and he gets accepted to like some community college, and he's so excited, and he yells "YES!" and throws his fist up in the air jumping and the fan slices it off. And then the school would have some requirement that all students need both hands to pursue a course of study or something.
