I like Soulforge after Legends. And yes, Legend of Huma is one of the few non-Weis/Hickman books that is a must-read.

DragonLance is a great fantasy series (the ones by Weis/Hickman anyway). The only series better than it is Weis/Hickman's <i>Death Gate Cycle</i> books.
