Jesus Christ walks into a hotel, he hands the inkeeper three nails, and asks"Could you put me up for the night?"
This is a joke I heard a while ago.
I kind of chuckled, and then felt guilty afterwards.
I told my girlfriend this joke and she scorned me. You know that must have been pretty bad; because she is Jewish.
Is this an inappropriate joke?
I think it's funny. Old, but funny. Appropriate? Who cares.
for some people its funny...im Christian but this isn't funny even if i weren't a Christian its not even funny...
Why would Jesus try to pay the inn keeper with nails?
Sorry I couldn't chuckle at that one because I can't figure out why Jesus would give the innkeeper nails for anything other than the sake of the joke.
Jesus deliberately gave the innkeeper nails because Jesus is a funny guy (LOL).

That joke made me chuckle too, only I don't feel guilty about it. Does that make me a bad person? I doubt it. Truth be told though, tis the first time I've heard it as well.
Also, your girlfriend being jewish doesn't make her any more sensitive to bad jokes, just don't praise her cooking of pieces of halibut by saying they're good enough for jehova.
