I knew about that, but when I thought of the idea it was before that existed. Plus, the way I imagine it is much larger in scope and would toy with advantages/disadvantages of using tropes from all eras of gaming, including future ones to even table top games.
The keep the thread going, another thing I can think of that might be cool is a game where you play as a character who gets corrupted about half way through the game. Like, full on evil. From there you can either choose to take on the now evil protagonist or continue with the evil protagonist and try to have evil win the day. Yeah, yeah, some games sort of did stuff like that, but to me that was only scratching the surface of how far you could take that sort of idea. I imagine two very different games. And then a new game plus mode where the evil turn can happen at various points to spice things up. A very compelling and cool story could be made out of something like that.
