    Default Parasite Eve anyone?

So I've decided to play these games again so before I started with PE2 I wanted to get the giffs of what happened in the 1st one before hand. So after three days of playing I've made it to the final battle.

Anyways I have not yet beaten 2 cause I always get stuck at the same place. This time I'm going to be using a guide, just so I get through it.

Have any of you played these games and what would you say about them?

I rented Parasite Eve long ago when I was a kid, but the game repeatedly froze on me after just an hour or two of gameplay, and I never picked it up again!

I really do want to play it, though. I think it's time for me to download it (before I forget again)! :kauberry:

Never did play the second one, but Parasite Eve is one of my favourite games from the Playstation era, and definitely one of the best things Square ever made. I really wish they'd take a shot on new IP's like it again.

Its a game worth downloading and checking into. I can't wait to start playing PEII.

What I like about the game is that you can build your own weapon. I have yet to find the best combos but the weapon I got right now is (from what I read) the internets favorite. Every site I visited said the weapon is worth making so I did. but I'm going to take time to build my own ideas too.

Played through a good chunk of it, but years ago, with gameshark, and I really liked it a lot. Yes, they should do more things like this.

I beat 2 w/o guide, but there was mention of bonus material, something like getting an extra item for a second playthrough due to having a certain number of items left in my pack. I never actually played it again. I believe I own PE, it's probably in a box somewhere. I know that I beat the first boss and haven't played since. I had a similar experience with FFT, however, I won the first battle but forgot to save and died in the next battle. It's been about four years since and I'm still iffy about playing because of how DAMN long the cutscenes are.
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.

I just started Parasite eve 2 and I don't think I'm going to play it. The controls are like resident evil (early games, 1,2,3 not 4 and 5) as if the whole idea wasn't a rip from resident evil to begin with. I'm sure it gets better but I'm just not up for it at the moment. Maybe somewhere down the future I'll play it. As for now though I would rather play resident evil.

I loved the first one when I was younger. I played it again a few years ago. I rented the second and never finished it. That's too bad. I'm not sure that without nostalgia I would like it.

I've been waiting for the 3rd game forever. It's been in development since the dinosaurs roamed. I don't own a PSP, but maybe some day.

Never played any of the games, but I've always been very interested in trying them.

Are any of them available on PlayStation Store?

I've been trying to buy these on eBay lately but the bidding usually goes above $20 for the game! I hope they bring it out on PSN soon (I don't think they have yet.)

Default Had a chance to buy it once in a used game store

    and passed...

I have heard good things about it.I regard it as a series Square should have kept going but abandoned along with Mana, Ogre Battle and other series they hold the rights to.
I regard that as sad and quite frankly bad business on their part.

Ahh, Parasite Eve. Pretty fun li'l romp and has lots of replayability because it's rather short. Fun soundtrack too, especially the funky NYC world map theme. Never did play the 2nd one but would pick it up in a heartbeat if I could...seem to remember it getting mixed reactions from PE-lovers.

Well I've played part 2 for a bit and got to a guy with a flame thrower for a mouth. Read online that you get something special from beating him in three mins. So I'm currently taking a break. Its just so different then the first one and in my opinion the first one had it right.

Good luck with that, as IIRC the games are based off some novels or something like that. I also hope for a PSN release though.

Maybe with them making The 3rd Birthday they can re-release the originals?
