Toss up between Squall and Rinoa for me. Squall's probably the most relatable, but Rinoa is a lot of fun too. Uhh. smurf it, Rinoa wins it for the dance scene.

Seifer will always and forever be my favorite thing about VIII next to the music. His character is great in both development and desig.

While Squall is certainly my favorite protagonist, I actually love Laguna more. I always look forward to the parts of the game where I play him because they tend to be more fun and emotional and he's such a goofball it's difficult not to like his antics.
