PRAISE WHITE JESUS
Sunday's episode was decent to start off with. In general it was pretty funny. Huey just got on my nerves a bit.
Here's the link in case you missed it
Adult Swim Video : The Boondocks : It's a Black President, Huey Freeman
The Thugnificant and Will.i.am track was the highlight.
And I'm glad to see Ruckus's brick throwing skills have gotten a lot better.
It's far from their best, but yeah, definately a good way to start off.
You know that Thugnificent bit, was a reference to a DMX interview.
Yeah, I noticed that. The Boondocks is a very funny show, but not many people notice how critical it is of society and how many cultural references it makes. It's a great show. It's funny and thought provoking. Like this episode pointed out that Obama had a lot of support because he was black and a charismatic eader, as oppossed to his policies. I said this once in class and a lot of people attacked me and got offend by it. But I know its true because I live in the UK and so many people supported Obama despite not knowing much about Obama and McCain's policies. I personally didn't support either because I didn't know much about the candidate's policies and it hardly concerns me because it isn't my country.
Sorry about that, I digressed a little too much. I just hope the other episodes are much funnier (this episode was very funny, but not as funny as most from the first and second series) Uncle Ruckus (who I believe is the funniest character) and Thugnificent (I loved his temporary new look) were the best in this episode. Obama's line also killed it big time:"I have no idea who this Huey Freeman is, but I don't stand for what he stands for. I dispute him, condemn him, basically: him!"
I was so happy when I found out the new series is coming out, but at the same time, I was saddened because it has been announced as the last series of Boondocks.
When we dance, it looks just like Fire.
When we sing, it sounds the same tone.
I really, really loved the episode where MLK never died, and he ends up being introduced to contemporary society. Sad, though.
Looked up the Dick Ridin' song, and apperently will.i.am was upset on his twitter, so me, not having much to do, looked up what he said.
'Boondocks is funny "Sayin I'm riding" if I didn't stand up "we would have mc cain" who else stood up? Now arizona is hating mexicans'.
There is so much wrong with that quote. XD
Hahaha just saw the preview to the next episode.
The Sublimely Magnificent Jecht Shot Mark II?!
yo take your mama's titty out yo mouth and maybe you can rap!
Last episode was all right for me. Personally the worst of the three. I knew it was going to be less focused on comedy and more on action, but to me the action, didn't even catch my attention until the end.
Forgot to post last week on the racist episode. It was funny. last night's episode was the real deal though. The action was tight, I just wish it could've been longer.
