So, does anyone here listen to Interpol? Have you listened to their new album yet?

I'm not into the current music scene. Any good? Maybe I'll take a listen before I deem them worthless.
I havent heard of them. What are they like?
Interpol is the only band that's debuted on the national music scene in the last couple years that I actually listen to.
to describe their sound, they have a dark atmospheric guitar and drums-tinged rock with instrospective baritone vocals. their songs are generally about the frustrations of love, how to end a dead-end relationship, life in New York City, and crazy Polish guys with knives.
The band from the past that they are most often compared to is the 80s British band Joy Division.
Their debut album, Turn on the Bright Lights, came out in 2002, and thier followup, Antics, came out a couple weeks ago.
their website, www.interpolny.com can help you get an idea.

'Say Hello to the Angels' was my favourite song for a solid six months, and now I'm very much in favour of 'Evil'. Don't have Antics yet though.
Thanks to Interpol, I'm listening to something that isn't Britpop. That allow warrants an award of some kind
I'm listening to Turn on the Bright Lights quite a bit, and I'll be getting Antics pretty soon. I wouldn't say they're amazing, but they're certainly much better than a lot of bands out there today.
"The most important and recognize player in the history of the country."
Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I were as great as Paulo Wanchope.
