I think most people understand this is going to be a wildy successful and fun game to play with friends but I don't see anyone predicting it to be a timeless masterpiece with 10/10s across the board. Content will be its biggest issue, as Bungie has said the full game will have five locations approximately the same size as what we saw in Old Earth, with an endgame Raid mode they have not revealed yet. If everything goes according to plan, I see it being an 85 at a minimum, with room to go higher depending on just how much Bungie has kept close to the chest.
More than anything, it seems people are just relieved to have a robust multiplayer shooter whose online experience doesn't revolve entirely around competitive matches. But if the content is on the lighter side, the game's following will certainly drop off once the Master Chief Collection, Advanced Warfare, and Far Cry 4 hit.
