I mean, I get how people could use him, but to me, I always struggle with finding a use for him that someone else couldn't fill and do a better job at it

Evil Anime Girl is quite lethal - also, being able to put Black Magic on him and have him as a third 'mage' in my group is awesome.
Fox does suffer from jack-of-all-trades syndrome, although I do think his Runic limit break is pretty broken. I think I said in Discord that I'd like to make a battle to play up to his strengths, an enemy which switches between being magic immune and physical immune.
Which brings me onto an idea. People have mentioned the idea of DLC. I've really enjoyed thinking up challenging bosses and such like, and I am wondering if other people might get the same pleasure. Would anyone be interested in a kind of design-a-boss thing? I could make them, and then we could then stick a group of them, say 5 to 10 at most in a DLC, and then maybe even (this is optional) hold a vote afterwards on who the most fun/challenging/etc boss was.
I guess I just gravitate more towards teams focused on physical damage
For DLC, I'd love some other little stories using other members.
I'd love to play as the Witch Trio for example, and go on a mission turning people into frogs. I'd love to play as Jiro as he builds his Utopia!
You could do a tiny solo dungeon for each playable character that they have to take on alone. That would definitely switch up the gameplay, as the main game is very much focused on party building - in this potential scenario, you'd have to really think how to cover a single character's weaknesses and play up their strengths without relying on other party members.
The solo character challenges would be fun, but the boss you fight would have to be specifically tailored to each character, as well.

This dude at the top is super frustrating
If the RNG hates you, you dead
I've been doing exactly that. But sometimes I waste three turns spamming statuses, to no effect, and he has some INSANELY brutal AOE attacks. I managed to get to the final stage - he opened it with an attack that knocked out three party members (including me, so bummer), even though they were at full health.
So yeah. The RNG hates my guts.
On that fight I used the relatively easier second phase to build full limit breaks, then unloaded with them in phase three, which blasted through that phase and turned the fight into a race to kill him before he killed me.

DAMNIT! I did not know I have to save after the final battle. Now I have to redo it.
