Like my friend says, why's it called final fantasy if they're already on XIII so a name change would be decent.

Few years back I recall hearing a rumor that stated that XIII would be that last one. And with Hiranobu gone now, it wouldn't be suprising.
Sakaguchi left awhile ago, actually. Now its like the Tales series, with a different development team each game.

I personally think that the series should end after all the original creators have parted ways (which is already happening). It's had a good long run already, I'm okay if it ends.
Then again, if they can continue the series entering a 'new golden era' I won't complain about that either.
no matter how important something might be (ie. a giant meteor is in the sky and threatening the planet) you can always just stop in at the Golden Saucer and gamble on some dodos running around a track.
