Making music with a computer is one thing, but paying someone to use a computer to alter your voice and then calling yourself a singer is something else entirely.

I don't think that's true. If somebody isn't good at their profession, you have a right to criticise them. Why should you only be allowed to criticise somebody that works in the same profession that you do? An if you're not fit to judge anybodys music unless you're a musician, nobody would be listening to music but musicians. Because nobody would be able to appreciate it, because their not allowed to judge whether they like it or not.Originally Posted by I Am Stoner

The Kidz bop series of Cds completely suck. We need to destroy their HQ so that thye will stop making CDs, then go ahead and destroy every single CD that is on the marker by them and heck, destroy every copy that was bought too. Those who will help me in my campaign must pay me $1000 so that I can buy a weapon on mass destruction. (oh, and we'll need a couple thousand followers paying at $1000 dollars to reach this goal.. Thanks!)

As to whether people should augment themselves with technology, I can honestly find no reason to dislike it. That's just me though, and I'd really like it if I could sing without hurting people.
Best typo ever. People who actually use real instruments and not techno generated sounds do have more musical talent than because using a computer to make music doesn;t use musical skills it uses your computer skills. If you don't know what I just said then let me say it clearly. It's been said I know...Originally Posted by rubah

LET THE HAMMER FALL
Actually you could be using a Midi keyboard to play with, thats a instrument and it links to the computer by USB, so what you just said back fired. Savage.
But would the keyboard generate noise with nothing to connect it to?
LET THE HAMMER FALL
Why are you so hostile, stoner?
Someone who makes music using a computer seems more like a composer than a musician to me. Nothing wrong with being a composer.
out of curiosity ? are you saying that blink 182 have the great voice your talking about or good charlet ? because if you are you have mooted you point before even making one.
and i agree with stoner.
If you didn't make the music or you dont play

Chuck Noblet: Can anyone tell me the tragic irony of the Trojan War? Tina? Tina: Um, that horses are friendly creatures yet a hollow, wooden one was used to destroy Troy? Chuck Noblet: Wrong and no. Anyone else? Chip? Chip: That the mighty warrior Achilles was killed by a small cut to his ankle. Chuck Noblet: Chip is wronger. OK, here it is. The tragic irony of the Trojan War is that though it was fought over Helen, who was young and beautiful, by the time they rescued her ten years later, she was old and ugly. Tina: But wasn't recovering the king's wife reward enough for the Greeks? Chuck Noblet: Tina, an ugly woman is never a reward.
Well, then, never ever say a movie or a video game or a book or tv show or anything else sucks ever again, or you're a hypocrite. If you didn't make the music or you dont play as well as the artist then you have no right to judge. End of story.
