Friedman and Becker are good, but they aren't the best. And they weren't the best band ever either. Off the top of my head I can think of better guitarists, Malmsteen, Batio, Dimebag, Laiho, I can go on.

hey man if you think malmsteen and batio are better you need to get a whoopin.....batio wears a wig aswel man hahahahahahahah.....
yngwie is so boring....he did start the whole virtuoso shred thing.....but he is nowhere near becker or friedman on his compositions or technique....as i said in my previous post dime was definitly 1 of the best guitarists......but you have to undersstand becker is a completely different level...

Wait, so what a guitarist wears has anything to do with their playing?

Seriously, technique-wise, no one can compare to Malmsteen and Batio.

I even think Jani Liimatainen from Sonata Arctica can play better than Becker.

and seriously...becker has better technique than yngwie and batio....yngwie plays really really fast so of course its gonna be a little bit messy but becker can play anythin perfect...if you have ever seen beckers hotlicks vid you will know what im talkin about...especially if you see him playin paginninis 5th....

    RIP Chuck Schuldiner...

Anyway, Dime, Zakk Wylde, and Kerry King are my top three favorite guitarists. I also like Alex Skolnick.

I think all Metallica songs are pretty easy compared to the stuff I used to play in my old death metal band.
Do you have anything to share from said band :P LOL ... just curious
Chuck Noblet: Can anyone tell me the tragic irony of the Trojan War? Tina? Tina: Um, that horses are friendly creatures yet a hollow, wooden one was used to destroy Troy? Chuck Noblet: Wrong and no. Anyone else? Chip? Chip: That the mighty warrior Achilles was killed by a small cut to his ankle. Chuck Noblet: Chip is wronger. OK, here it is. The tragic irony of the Trojan War is that though it was fought over Helen, who was young and beautiful, by the time they rescued her ten years later, she was old and ugly. Tina: But wasn't recovering the king's wife reward enough for the Greeks? Chuck Noblet: Tina, an ugly woman is never a reward.

And uses way too many harmonics.

Umm, I think the old myspace is still up. I'm not on there since I left the band and it was pretty much erased that I was in it, except that I helped write like half the material and did most of the arrangements.

    Enjoy.

That reminds me...ever heard of the Zakk Wylde Drinking Game? It was allegedly invented by Corey Beaulieu and Matt Heafy, the two guitarists from Trivium (but may have been going on before that). Basically, the way that game works is, you put on a Black Label Society album, and each time you hear Zakk Wylde do a pinch harmonic, you take a drink. That means you chug down a whole can or bottle of beer, or take a shot of hard liquor. And no skipping tracks or fast-forwarding; that's cheating. I intend to play this game with a few of my friends on my dad's 50th birthday.
