You're still defining "emo" by the actual, technical word "emotional". Words are defined often by the intent behind them not the meaning that was established first or the actual word. If I ask somebody to "spoon" I don't mean let's get utensils and clink them together. And if somebody says "emo" they don't mean 'emotional' as in "you're happy lol!" they mean depressed. Just because it spawns from the word emotional doesn't mean that's what people are implying when they say it. People redefine words and the intent behind them change, you can go against the waves all you want but that doesn't change the facts.

Of course, in my day this was an undesirable condition called "depression" that nobody wanted. Yeah those were the good days.
