Miami had just gone up 14-0 and a couple of FIU players decided to show their manliness by kicking and punching the kick holder. At that point, it was, as they say, ON!! Helmets, suplexes, crutches....the on the field brawl got the crowd so hyped that fights started breaking out in the stands.

I whole mess of things fell out of this: suspensions, dismissals, apologies, a firing. But, IMO, it was the best scene at the OB since Brock Berlin crushed the Gators.

The holder isn't even touched until the brawl is well underway. The "cause", though something like this never has justification, was that the Miami player taunted after the touchdown by bowing to the FIU crowd.

Bologna, the holder was thrown to the ground as a couple of players were jawing back and forth. And the section of the crowd that Bryant bowed to was part of general admission, a mixed group of fans.
