It's a long story but to sum it up here's how it went: Barret convinced his best friend, many years ago, to allow a reactor to be installed in their town, as his friend was the only one against it. There was an explosion at the reactor and the company that owns it came and burned down the whole town. Barret and his friend weren't there when it happend. The company soldiers chased them and at one point, Barret's friend had fallen over a cliff ledge. Barret managed to grab his hand; the soldiers, shooting at them, hit their hands. (thus why Barret has a mechanical arm), and his friend fell. Now his friend had a family, a wife and a daughter. Barret, thinking that his friend was dead, as was his wife, 'adopted' Marlene, who was 4 at the time. In the movie she is 6. They're not related.Are Barret and Marlene related? I mean, he talks so much about her and they have the same last name...

He once was one of the Turks. A scientist got pissed off at him and 'changed' him, granting him his shape-changing abilities. In the game, his final limit break transforms him into that looks much like a vampire, but to me, it resembled a gargoyle. Take your pick. But he is human.
3. What color is Tifa's hair? In some places it looks brown, and others it looks black.
Black is not a color that occurs in nature very often. For example, there is no real black horse (or human hair) it may be an extremly dark brown, but it isn't black. Therefore her hair is brown.
4. In the Forgotten City (or whatever), where did all the kids go when Kadaj and them started to fight? Its like they disappeared....
It would be safe to assume that they ran into the building behind the lake or into the woods.
5. How old are these people: Kadaj, Vincent, Rufus, Marlene, Yazoo, and Loz
Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz are roughly 17-19 years old. Vincent is 29. Marlene is 6. Rufus is unknown, but maybe late 20's.

He is part of a spieces unique to this game. An intelligant wolf-related being that has a Charmander tail.
