Two scenarios:

1. You know your stuff, and get a lot of the predictions right, including most of the more obvious ones.

2. You don't know anything and get most of them wrong, but you got lucky and picked a couple obscure ones right.

BoB's system seems to skew in favor of the latter. I think we would all agree that #1 takes more actual knowledge, whereas even a shinra like Miriel could accomplish #2.

Except, you know, I got a good chunk of predictions right in addition to getting right the "obscure" ones which aren't really that obscure.

"Dies" of course being the Latin word for "day", "Cid Dies" would translate to "Cid Day", a day celebrating our leader. I see nothing insulting about it.
