    Default That Damn Magicked Skull

I wandered around Valkurm Dunes for three hours last night trying to get one of these and had a high level character even take me to Gusgen Mines where I was for an hour and not even a hint of Magicked Skull!! I'm going crazy because I want to get my Subjob and enjoy the game more...

Does anyone have any tips on picking this thing up?

The only thing I can recommend is to keep wandering around Gusgen Mines with a High Level character until it drops

Or if you have a Lvl. 15 Thief, the skull will drop even faster with Treasure Hunter

Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

It didn't take all that long for it to drop for me. I think it drops more often in the dunes, but then you have to wait for nightfall.

Sometimes people in those mines farm bone chips. You might be able to get them to join you. You get the skull and they get the chips. Win-win.

Bring someone with a /thf or who is a thf.

    might be easier

apparently they have a higher drop rate in Valkurm... but the spawn there for them sucks.

Yeah mines are better over dunes. At least in the mines they spawn all day.

Hahaha. And I totally teleported out of the mines, without realizing that you didn't have the teleport crystal. Oh man.

Yeah, the subjob item quest just plain sucks. I think they should go back over some of the older quests and alter them to be more fun for lower levels.

Nearly everyone just gets a higher level to help them, and there's just not enough willing to actually get into a party at low levels and hunt for the items.

From what I've seen the other two subjob items are usually aquired through partying. It's just that damned magicked skull.

That's because bones aren't really exp party material in the dunes, hello AoE drain. And you could always try the Mhaura subjob quest ;p.

The Mhuara quest is even harder because of that Bloody Robe
