And you ought to have taken more action if you didn't wish to be placed in classes you knew you couldn't handle. I know you talked to your guidance counselor, but there are more people on staff than just your guidance counselor that can hep direct your academic life. It also depends on when you tell them. After a certain point, you simply cannot switch out of a class, regardless of the circumstances.

As a final note, Honours classes were never that advanced, or at least, never what they were made out to be. Their difficulty seems to only be gaged on the subtle increase in work load and the broader subjects of questions and the like. Truly, the Honours classes don't require a giant leap in IQ; just a half-way decent work ethic.
