NOT SAGES, NOT RED MAGES, just a PURE BLACK MAGE. Rydia can also cast white magic and summoning as well (With summon skill does not make her a pure black mage.)
Rydia can't use white magic after she grows up, and she's the closest thing in FFIV to a dedicated black mage after Palom leaves the party.
It's just a fun poll; get over it.
Rydia stays by you, even if you killed her whole friends, villagers, and mother.
